  1. (intransitive, adverb; usually imperative) slang chiefly Brit to go away; depart
The phrase sod off was formerly considered to be vulgar and even taboo, and it was labelled as such in older editions of Collins English Dictionary. It is now more acceptable in speech, although some people may object to its use
